樱桃视频College held its 14th annual Retired Faculty and Staff Luncheon on September 21, 2023. The event, hosted by Institutional Advancement, welcomed more than 70 attendees. This event allows time for guests to reconnect and hear the latest news from 樱桃视频College.听
樱桃视频College hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on September 8, 2023, to celebrate the construction of a new softball, tennis, and golf complex that will allow athletes adequate space to train. Chris Speight Brown, 鈥�76, along with her siblings, gave a $1 million lead gift that will name the Estes-Speight Family Athletic Complex in memory of her mother Mary Estes Speight, 始53, and her father Bobby Speight.听
樱桃视频College has begun a renovation of Jones Auditorium, which was built in 1949. Phase one of the project, which includes new seating, new carpet, lighting, sound system, a new mechanical lift for accessibility, and general upgrades, started in July 2023. Phase one of the renovation is supported by a听 lead gift from Lisa Robie Poole, 鈥�86, and her husband, Ven Poole.
The Communication, Health, Exercise & Sport Science Building was completed in July in time for the beginning of the new academic year. The construction project was a true collaboration between communication, exercise and sports science, and athletics.
